Watching an old favourite of mine -- Gosford Park. Let's face it, I'm going through DA withdrawal, to be honest.

Great Expectations (1999- with Ioan Gruffudd)
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Finished watching The Express. It was very good. Sad, but very good. I loved the score. The use of marching band instruments was brilliant.

I saw Beautiful Creatures over the weekend. Nicely done although I haven't read the books so I'm not sure how true it stayed. I have added them to Mount TBR though.

I watched this when it was on PBS and have it on my Netflix queue now that it's available streaming. But for tonight I'm back to Star Trek! :)

It's pretty entertaining. I'm mostly trying to figure out where else I've seen the actors.

Which Star Trek are you watching?

Saw Restless, a great WWII spy thriller on Sundance Channel. Cast included Michael Gambon, Charlotte Rampling, Rufus Sewell, and Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary in Downton Abbey). Unusual premise.

Bodo the Apostate, a novel set during the reign of Louis the Pious and end of the Carolingian Empire.

Coriolanus, 2011 Ralph Fiennes-directed movie adaptation of Shakespeare's tragedy given a modern setting. Even as a play this tale of ancient Roman war and hubris is very rarely performed, being one of the most unrelievedly dark of Shakespeare's plays, but I thought this version was brilliant - intelligent, visceral and with a great deal of current political relevance. Stars Gerard Butler, Ralph Fiennes and Vanessa Redgrave. Plenty of violence - not recommended for those who like their endings happy!
