Amazing- "confirmed beyond all reasonable doubt". The photo clearly shows the curvature of the spine - some people have thought the descriptions of him as being a hunchback or deformed in some way were just propaganda, but there it is!

You can see the photo and video here at the Guardian website

Wonder what they'll do with him now?

This is so exciting. We're all squeeing over at Goodreads, but then we get to work and our coworkers give us the deer in the headlights look. :p

ETA: Sharon's mentioned that the UK publisher for Sunne has dropped the price for the kindle version.

I know, but it solves and debunks the hunchback myth.

Wonder what this is going to do to Shakespeare's play? Will people still want to see it?

I see it's just been confirmed that RIII's remains will be reinterred at Leicester Cathedral, with some sort of major ceremony.

Not necessarily. Such a significant degree of scoliosis would have resulted in one shouder being quite noticeably higher than the other, and possibly giving him something of a hunchbacked appearance.

Fascinating - thanks, Misfit. It certainly resembles the portraits of him, doesn't it? He was a rather good-looking guy if this reconstruction is anything to go by.
