For all Merlin fans, it starts again tonight on BBC1 - hurray :)
I shall wait and buy the DVD. I wonder if they will proceed with a season 6? There was talk of making a movie, but not sure if it was just rumour.

I only just found out about that - rather a shame. I also read that there might be a film in the pipeline.

I'll miss this show. There aren't enough fantasy shows for me to watch anymore.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Oh gosh that's so disappointing :( ....Now I can't understand how they have ended Season 5? I'll have to wait and see the DVD in January..But the two episodes that I did watch still had Arthur totally unaware of Merlin's magical abilities...Although Mordred did return....I hope they have rounded the show off and not simply let it remain as a continuation.
As for a movie version I'd certainly want to see it, but I hope they remain true to the spirit of the show and not follow that awful 'Camelot!'

Ah well..There is still Game of Thrones S 3 to come. :D

It hasn't finished it's run yet, it's about halfway through.

Can't wait for Game of Thrones 3!

What I wonder is how and when Merlin's magic will be revealed. Hopefully all the story lines with get covered in the two hour finale.

I hope so too Nefret, or I shall be disappointed....But unless they change the outcome entirely everyone knows what happens to King Arthur...But then again Lancelot kind of disappeared from the show entirely. I hope they don't leave it open ended with a movie in mind....If the actors who currently play the roles won't do the movie, then it probably wont work...I would like to see it come to a complete conclusion in the finale and I shall be buying the DVD in January when it is released here.

So Series 5 finished on Xmas Eve :( Think they more or less stuck to the Prophecy, although there was a strange little scene with Merlin right at the e end. I'd rather they'd left it at Avalon, but I got a little bit teary....there were some touching scenes.

I deliberately stayed away from watching the series on our TV channel( Ch: 10 ?) so I could watch it advert free on DVD which will be released early Feb 2013. I will buy the box set, but am sad too :( that it's all over red rover :( ..I loved Merlin :) . Ah well and yes I am looking forward also to GOT S 3 and buying GOT Season 2 On DVD(Why does it take forever for this show to be released to DVD?). But I hope GOT tones down the sex/violent scenes...Shows like Merlin and Downtown prove that a quality show does not need it!
