LH congratulations! This seems like it's been a BIG time lately for adoptions. I and a friend are both new cat moms, and I and four coworkers are new dog parents. Yay for new pets! For fun - Thanksgiving pics of my new kids.

Our little one arrived on Friday and we've all been getting used to each other. She's a sweetheart.

This morning I got up to hit the snooze button on the alarm clock and found her frisking about quietly. The second she saw me she bounded over, tail wagging a mile a minute, ready to play or just be petted.

Due to her habit of exploring she has been named Dora.

Finally getting to hear the Hobbit soundtrack. It's making me more excited for the movie this weekend. :D

Brenna, apparently you had a lot better chance than that - and good for you! Congratulations indeed!

Congrats, Brenna! As a former academic who subsisted on grants, I know how important they can be.
