John was the eldest son and fourth child of Edward I and Eleanor of Castile. He died at age 5 in Wallingford Castle, Berkshire while in the care of his uncle Richard, Earl of Cornwall. Richard was taking care of his Edward's children while he and his wife were on Crusade. John was buried in Westminster Abbey on the north side of Edward the Confessor's tomb.
August 3, 1460 - Death of James II of Scotland at Roxburgh Castle, buried at Holyrood Abbey, Edinburgh
James died at age 29 when a cannon he was standing next to during a siege exploded.
