Wonderfully said Diane!

I have also noticed the same phenomenon happening as I get older. "Oh when are you and your husband going to have children." "You shouldn't wait too much longer." "Why haven't you bought a house yet?"

Blah! But coming home to a wagging tail and lots of doggie kisses makes all of it worth it!!

Thank you, Brenna - this is something frustrating me a lot lately, so it's been on my mind enough to express the issue thanks to this one symptom. Blah indeed.

Coming home to watch Goss grow and learn every single day is good. One of these days he'll get a good, mellow dog to play with too.

Blown away by Thomas Heatherwick's utterly fabulous Olympic Cauldron. Wow! Don't think there's a video around yet, but look out for footage of the lighting of the cauldron, it's spectacular :)

My new book got it's first Amazon review. 5 stars! As you might expect, I'm rather pleased. :)

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

(Yesterday) Fun time at the beach, with a ride on a water taxi.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!
