Meet Dudley!
Our new arrival, with his reluctant mentor Boswell. We've already been for a couple of big-boy walks and tried to pull the cat's blanket from underneath her.

- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

How lovely. Is Dudley the same breed as Boswell?
Our old dog has loved having young whippersnappers around. It does the oldy so much good, and the whippersnappers too because they learn civilised behaviour from the oldie.

Looks like a Scottie to me. When I see Scotties, they always remind me of 'Lady and the Tramp'. I loved that film as a child!
Scotties and Westies are friendly little dogs.

They're both cairn terriers.
Dudley discovered today that he could bark. So far it is not having the terrifying effect he had hoped for.

Vanessa-
Scotties, Westies, and Cairns are cousins-the last three breeds that used to be one (or so I read). Ben and I have been considered getting another dog as a companion for Padfoot and thought a Cairn would be nice. Whatever is available for adoption I suppose.
I love little puppy barks! They bark and then jump like they surprised even themselves when they did that. So adorable!
