Marg and Susan H,
I posted about this site on Absolute Write in the historical fiction forum, and several people have tried to register and keep getting bounced. Here is the thread if you want to see what's going on:

Do you know what the problem is or how to get around it? I'd hate to think people are giving up!

Sorry, Julianne. Didn't see this post earlier.
I'm not sure why people are having difficulty registering, but if you want to send me a PM with their preferred user ID's and e-mail addresses, I can register them and assign them a password, which they can then change.

How do you receive notifications of new posts
in your threads? I did it in the old site, and it doesn't seem to work, or else I am a techno-dummy (sadly, the latter is more likely )

You should be able to go to your User CP, then Settings and Options--Edit Options--Messaging & Notifications--Default Thread Subscription Mode to activate your notification options.

It's interesting that you are getting none! I thought I had set mine to receive none but I am getting everything - my inbox is overflowing with all the posting that is being done!
When I have some time later today I will try to figure it out!
