23) A Spear of Summer Grass by Deanna Raybourn; finished 6/9/13; I really enjoyed this one. The vivid descriptions of Africa and the time period seemed to transport me there. The protagonist is a complex and interesting character, even if she isn't always likable. I've never read any of Raybourn's Lady Julia novels, but I think I will have to put them on my list.

25) The Bishop's Tale by Margaret Frazer; finished 6/22/13; Love Dame Frevisse and the medieval characters (real and fictional) and setting, but I thought the mystery was a bit weak in this one.

29) Midnight at Marble Arch by Anne Perry; finished 7/14/13; I always enjoy Victorian murder mysteries, but nothing appeared to happen at midnight at Marble Arch! :)
