I know it had Queen in the title...
Who is the Queen?
Editha and Adelicia, wives to Henry I of England
Is she the main character?
Yes.
Any other titles?
Not that I know of.
(I think this has been listed elsewhere on this thread as being about Margaret of Anjou and Elizabeth Woodville, but I'm looking at the book itself, and it's not.)
Thanks Boswell. I covered Adelicia/Adeliza in my latest and as far as I knew she'd not really been written about before. It would be interesting to see what Maureen Peters does with her character.

I haven't read this book so it is probably unfair of me to say but Rosalind Miles is a writer that makes me want to kick her book as far into oblivion as possible within the first page, if not within the first paragraph.

Oh ouch. Did you not like her Elizabeth I at all? I really enjoyed it. But curious about her other books now when you mention it.

I haven't read Elizabeth as it is really not my type of book but I took badly to The Women's History of the World many years ago. Then I picked up a copy of Return to Eden that someone had left behind when I was on holiday and tried because there was not a lot available in English -- OMG, truly not for me. I decided I really could manage to read novels in French as an alternative so in a way it was quite fortuitous because I would not have tried if it had not been for Rosalind.

Ah right, I haven't read any NF by her and I loved Return to Eden but I was in my early teens when I read it. Maybe one day you'll give Elizabeth I a chance.
