historical books with First name titles

Hi everybody, I am new. My name is Vicki. I am rom the Upper penninsula of Michigan and YES we have long winters here! So I get in a lot of time to read. When I was a teenager (20 years ago) I remember reading a series of books (very thick paperback books) and they were historical fiction romance. Each one had a (I am pretty sure ) a woman's First name as the title. I remember one being named Nicole and it was set in prairie times in the U.S. If I could find these books again I would be so happy. I do have a kindle and can get books from free sites and amazon. But I do love holding a good book in my hand especially in the bathtub and in the winter.

If you read these when you were younger, it could be the Scholastic Sunfire series that you're thinking of. There's a list here you can check out to see if they tally up with what you remember:

Thank you very much!!!! that i exactly what I looking for! Now I remember the Nicole one because it had to do with the Titanic (I new a survivor) (Sorry all I am a bad speller) Thank you so much again! I am going to have to get all these books again.
