Youth Protagonists - Young tribal healer and roman soldier (maybe)?

There was a book - can't remember the title or the author - it was a book about a young tribal teen in the UK fleeing with her little sister and there's a young dude - MAY be Roman - who is pursuing her and then I think she helps him by saving his life because she's a healer and then he has a dilemma about whether or not to take her prisoner?

Pretty sure it was set in the UK somewhere but possible Germanic tribe?

It's not the Diana Paxon book White Mare, Red Stallion
