The TV version of "Mr Whicher" was actually pretty good, so it might be worth catching. I remember wishing that the book was more like the TV version!
I'm hoping this will be on DVD available through Netflix some day.

I didn't really watch it because I'm not particularly interested in crime thrillers...The only crime show I did watch was Prime Suspect but then again Helen Mirren was simply brilliant....I do remember buying DVD's of another Victorian crime show for my late father it was ummm 'Garrows Law?' Something like that, he really enjoyed them.
SM- I just wondered if your local library perhaps lends out DVD's of popular TV shows? Just a thought.
Bec PS: I'm also a fan of Silk A really good show.

I live in a small town and one of the reasons I love Amazon is because I can buy stuff there which isn't available here. But it is getting better as business communities learn in order for them to keep in the race they have to lift their game.
Good luck.
