12. George Knightley, Esquire: Lend Me Leave, Barbara Cornthwaite
So this book arrived Saturday. I picked it up last night to start it...and finished it.

[quote=""rebecca""]What did you think of it? I am in two minds about buying it and would like your opinion on it? Thanks Robin.

It wasn't too bad actually; a very believable look at Vlad. I wouldn't say it was fantastic but I found it very interesting as I've never read anything about the historical Vlad. Yes, there are some gruesome descriptions however none of it bothered me as it was a very violent time and a very violent place. If you are concerned about it being scary or anything like that, then no, its not.

I haven't read the book, but he did a reading at the Historical Novel Society conference this spring that went over very well. I shared a table with him at a group book signing the next day, and it was like the high school wallflower sitting next to the prom king.

Hahahaha! That made me smile.
After reading his book I am interesting in reading more about the historical Vlad.
