Historical Dolls

I wouldn't call this a "collection" yet, but wasn't really sure where else to put it and since I'll probably be adding to it in the future, this seemed like as good a place as any.

I was looking for some historical dolls to spend my Christmas money on to help fill in some space in my new bookcase and ran across an Etsy shopthat sells miniature dolls (historical, characters from books, celebrities etc). I wanted ones that actually look like the person (based on a portrait) and not ones just dressed up for the time period. They are about 4.5 inches high. I bought three:

Elizabeth I (coronation portrat)
Lady Jane Grey
Eleanor of Aquitaine (I made an exception to the "representation" rule since there aren't any portraits but I think the doll looks like Katharine Hepburn in The Lion in Winter so it was close enough for me!)

The owner also does custom orders.

Ah yes I have many of her Jane dolls in my collection but I decided not to get the one you got.

They're really cute Tanzanite, and would look fab on any bookshelf! I've got a set of Henry VIII and his six wives, historical costume dolls by Peggy Nisbet that I've had for years and years and that I like to take out from time to time :)
