The McCullough novels are terrific, and still my favourites about ancient Rome. I like your use of emoticons, nice touch that!

Although I enjoyed it and it was quite a quick read, (for me!), I thought it a little one dimensional with only a few pages devoted to entire months. I think the chapters need to be longer. Apart from that this was my first foray into medieval fiction. Reading 'The Scarlet Lion' now. :)
