1) The Wordy Shipmates by Sarah Vowell, finished 1/5/10, would make a good companion book to The Winthrop Woman by Anya Seton

5) Mistress Shakespeare by Karen Harper, finished on 2/10/10, I liked the premise of the book, but was upset by a factual (perhaps a typo) error stating that there was a Henry VIII Chapel in Westminster Abbey; there is a Henry VII Chapel there. The error was committed twice on the same page.

6) The Swan Maiden by Jules Watson, DNF, stopped reading 2/18/10, I don't think this is the right time for me to read this book. I need to read this is the summer when I am free from reading students' persuasive essays!

9) The Owl Killers by Karen Maitland, finished on 3/31/10, enjoyed it as much as Maitland's Company of Liars, was that a reference to Camelot from Company of Liars towards the end of the book?

10) The Black Tower by Louis Bayard, finished on 4/5/10, my trip to Paris last summer made many of the settings real, liked this better than Bayard's Mr. Timothy (which I also liked) probably because of the royal connection.

11) The Lost Crown by Susan Higginbotham, finished on 5/2/10, I always enjoy Susan's books; I love reading about lesser known real people and how they are related to important historic events.
