How did you like it?
I liked it, but not as much as Lady Macbeth. I always like reading books about lesser known royals (like your books!) though and I don't know much about medieval Scottish royals. The character of Queen Margaret is quite different from Lady Macbeth (Gruadh) as Margaret is Saint Margaret of Scotland. I didn't find Margaret as compelling as Gruadh. Apparently Margaret's confessor wrote a biography of her and the novel draws from that. What I didn't realize is that Margaret's daughter Edith (aka Matilda) married Henry I, so Margaret and her husband Malcolm III are Henry II's great grandparents.

31) We Two, Victoria and Albert: Rulers, Partners, Rivals by Gillian Gill; finished 12/31/10; liked this book a lot, but if you don't know much about Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, it is not a starter book.
