Nice! I've been meaning to read that.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!
- "Into Battle"

Hope you enjoy it, Princess Garnet!

I'm reading an ARC of THE WINTER PALACE for endorsement. I know there's been some comments on the book here, I'll have to search for them. I am really liking it, especially the underlying sense of the frivolity and the underlying corruption of the Russian court of Empress Elizabeth. The narrator is a young Polish woman who becomes a spy for the Empress and befriends young Catherine upon her arrival.

Back from vacation with hubby and daughter. Finished A Clash of Kings and A Storm of Swords on the long plane and train rides. Now working on A Feast of Crows for pleasure. Bought out the British Museum Bookstore and have a huge stack of research reading ahead. Yay!

I couldn't finish 'The Distant Hours'...I just found that Kate takes a long time to get to the point and found myself strolling through the maze of her plot and simply decided to opt out. Perhaps I am simply too impatient.

I just started 'That Woman' by Anne Sebba so far so good :D

I finished yesterday:
"Kathryn: In the Court of Six Queens" by Anne Merton Abbey (454pgs, 1989, reread). This is my all time favourite book, and I cannot tell you how many times I've read it since '89 when my mom gave it to me. I've read it so many times the front and back cover came off this last reading. A great interweaving of characters who are not based on real people into the lives of Henry VIII, his wives and their court.
