Currently reading "Galileo's Daughter" (Dava Sobel) - which is actually more about the famous father. Loving it so far!

Currently reading - Emergence of a Nation State by Alan Smith
The Book of Rachel by Leslie Cannold, a former NYer now living in Australia. The story of Jesus as told from the POV of his youngest sister, Rachel, a bright rebellious girl repressed by the harsh cultural strictures of rural Jewish society. This one turns the image of the all-loving Virgin Mary on its head - Jesus' mother Mariame is depicted as a bitter, hateful woman seemingly incapable of love. An interesting take on the old story from a woman's perspective.
Lady of the Rivers by PG. It's available at Net Galley.
At home with a good book and the cat...

But its also about the letters she sent to him, very poignant and interesting. I loved that book. Wonder if she's written anything else lately? Her first book was Longitudes, which took what could have been a very dry subject and turned it in to something extraordinary.
