A quarter of the way through Charles Dicken's The Old Curiousity Shop. Not bad but I keep on thinking of Oscar Wilde's comment's on the novel.

My curiosity got the better of me as I'm not familiar with Wilde's comment and never read the novel itself so I googled and came up with http://wutheringexpectations.blogspot.c ... -shop.html. . . "One must have a heart of stone to read the death of Little Nell without laughing"
Is that it? A little withering to say the least. It seems Edgar Allen Poe didn't like it either  :D

Just finished Priya Parmar's Exit the Actress. It was difficult to get into at first because of the writing style, but it all came together and was a very enjoyable read. After waiting almost a year, I finally get to read C.W Gortner's Confessions of Catherine de Medici and am super excited!

I'm about to start The Sandalwood Tree by Elle Newmark. It's a dual time story set in India, one in 1947 and the other 100 years previously. I loved the author's The Book of Unholy Mischief.

I finally finished A Game of Thrones and can allow myself to start watching the TV adaptation. I still think it's pretty standard fantasy fiction and he hasn't reinvented the wheel or anything, but some of his characterisations and set pieces make it worthwhile.

Just started Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe for a book group read. Apparently, this is a classic African novel. I guess it counts as HF as it was written in the 1950s and set in the late 19th century Nigeria.

Hope you enjoy the TV series of Game of Thrones, it's just over halfway through now and I'm really enjoying it. They stick pretty closely to the books, and visually it looks absolutely amazing. Bit gruesome though!

Bedford Square by Anne Perry. I have quite a bit of catching up to do with Inspector Pitt. I really enjoy the novels, but have fallen way behind.
