What are you reading? May 2011

Post by EC2 » Sun May 1st, 2011, 11:42 am

All research reading at the moment and re-reading the Histoire de Guillaume le Mareschal ready for talking at Cartmel Priory in a fortnight. I also have to re-read Mort by Terry Pratchett for a blog - so it's all work related.
Les proz e les vassals
Souvent entre piez de chevals
Kar ja li coard n’I chasront

'The Brave and the valiant
Are always to be found between the hooves of horses
For never will cowards fall down there.'

The Second Duchess by Elizabeth Loupas -- damn, but it's good! And thanks to everyone who gave me the references to the Browning poem -- I'll be reading that when I get finished with the book.

Went straight to Pargeter's The Scarlet Seed after finishing The Green Branch. About halfway now and enjoying it very much.

Oh dear! I'd like to know why, too.

I'm still reading House of Stairs by Barbara Vine.

I started As Meat Loves Salt for the BOTM discussion. Not sure what I think of it so far.
