Finished Joan Wolf's The Edge of the Light about King Alfred and thoroughly enjoyed it! For comparison, I'm reading Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Series. Enjoying the first one so far!

I've finished "Anything Goes: A Biography of the Roaring Twenties" by Lucy Moore (332pgs, 2010). An interesting and well written look at many aspects of this time period.

Pargeter's Heaven Tree trilogy is wonderful stuff.

Currently reading The Weed that Strings the Hangman's Bag, second in the delightfully wise and funny Flavia de Luce mystery series by Alan Bradley. I thought a series featuring a precocious 11-year old might get old quickly, but this one is just as good as the first.

I read My Enemy the Queen by Victoria Holt. My first book by Holt and it was so boring. But I had time at airport and plane....

Now I'm reading The Last templar by Michael jecks and I'm liking it.

When I read that as a teen I remember liking it a lot, but when I reread it as an adult, I didn't enjoy it, odd.
