Book Shopping Today (2010 edition)

Went into Waterstones for a browse today and to get some books for my 5 year old, when I spotted "The Owl Killers" by Karen Maitland (I loved "Company of Liars" so can't wait to start this) and beside it "The Witch's Trinity" by Erika Mailman. I can't decide which one to start first and I'm afraid "Half of a Yellow Sun" is going to be put to one side for the time being. My other half doesn't understand how I can be so excited about a couple of books lol.

I have this in my TBR pile and I am anxious to read it also. Maybe it will be the next up after I finish Grave Goods. I love visiting Waterstones when I am in London!

In the last couple of days I have ended up with the following books in my house - Tuscan Rose by Belinda Alexandra and Fireworks over Toccoa by Jeffrey Stepakoff. Also when I was at the library the other night they had more books on the sale table so ended up getting the following for 10c each.
Midsummer Moon by Laura Kinsale
Harvest Moon by Judith Saxton
Queen of Swords by Judith Tarr
The Shepherd Kings by Judith Tarr
Paint the Wind by Cathy Cash Spellman
The Revolt of the Eagles by Jean Plaidy
The sad thing is that I just was adding these to my spreadsheet, and realised that I actually already owned the Plaidy. That's 10c down the drain!

I don't tend to do it that often because I keep lists on my lists on my lists, but this was a total impulse buy that I couldn't possibly leave on the table. Turns out I should have!

I remembered that you liked it, which is why I picked it up when I saw it there.

I do that with Plaidy all of the time at our library sale here, between the title changes and the different covers for the US and UK editions!

Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!
