Count me in. Will ship internationally.

Re limits, I think it depends a lot on where people are shipping from/to. For instance, anyone buying a book in the UK and sending it to the US would have a hard time doing that for less than $25. As long as everyone agrees not to get carried away.

Misfit, you have to fill out that damn customs form regardless of where you are sending something to. It's an international customs form. Nope, you don't need to do it when you are receiving something, but doesn't matter if it's Mongolia, Manchester or Montreal, the form has to be there. And yes, it's a pain in the butt.

CB: we had a poll, the majority was a $25 limit.

Just for the record: the shipping cost for a flat rate box (book sized) from the US to England is $39.85.

thus the reason I don't ship internationally.

Here is the USPS services for international postage
Priority Mail International Prices

First Class Mail International

Express mail seems to be the most expensive. So there are other options out there. What services were you trying to use? It doesnt appear that Priority international is that expensive.

Why is everyone getting hung up on shipping cost for books? Is that all we can buy for each other here?

*Smiles* Cause most of us seem to want books, just conjecturing here :D

Personally I'd want an Amazon GC, there are a lot of books I want that I can get cheap with shipping, no point in making my person have to do all that.

And don't forget if you do choose to send a book, then shipping is free with bookdepository!

The small flat rate box wasn't available last year. I was using the one that is $40 something at the post office, but the label was a couple dollars cheaper if you bought it online. It was the cheapest available, and of course I chose it, considering that I was shipping only a couple of used books and some inexpensive tree ornaments.
I'll admit that the shipping price caught me a bit by surprise, but it was fun anyway.

Now that is true :D We are all fanatics here :p
I'm not saying that I wont buy a book but since we all love books and buy them all the time I thought this Goodie swap would be more like an appreciaton for each other. You know, a nice little gift for christmas. :)
