Recently ordered or purchased books include:
Ungrateful Daughters - Maureen Waller
Sovereign Ladies - Maureen Waller
Jane Boleyn - Julia Fox
A Royal Affair - Stella Tillyard
Some of these were in response to mentions on here.
As to when I'll read any of them, that's a different story altogether....
I've read these four, and found the Stella Tillyard to be outstanding -- it helped me to understand why George III treated his children as he did. Ungrateful Daughters is very good as well, but Sovereign Ladies was just running over very familiar ground for me. I think it depends on how much you know about the Queens Regnant of England.

Over the last few days:
Love and Summer by William Trevor (won it via the Waterstone's website and have now read it - thought it was a bit dull!)
The King's Daughter by Christie Dickason
Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel
The White Queen by Philippa Gregory

Day 1 in London, and here's what I've bought from Waterstone's and Hatchard's
The Children's Book
The Marsh King's Daughter
Lords of the White Castle
Shadows and Strongholds (the last three are the only EC books I didn't own before)
The Fraud, by Barbara Ewing
No Angel, by Penny Vincenzi
Consolation, by James Wilson
I was going to buy the Christie Dickason, but the trim size was much larger than I'd expected.
I'm trying to pace myself while I'm on vacation.
Nefret, It's about Elizabeth of Bohemia, daughter of James I of England and VI of Scotland. I posted a review of it on this site -- I liked it very much indeed.
Oh, interesting. Will have to look for that. Thanks.
(The last book I read with that title was Sandra Worth's novel about Elizabeth of York. Henry VII's queen.)
Yeah, like there aren't a lot of King's daughters running around the place...
somebody needs to get over this syndrome -- the queen's whatever, the king's this or that, blah blah blah. Unimaginative.
Yes, agreed. Even though I have bought a few of those.
The King's Pleasure by Norah Lofts
King's Fool by Margaret Campbell Barnes
King's Confidante by Jean Plaidy
(And all are set during the reign of Henry VIII.)
