I enjoyed the book quite a lot. It was about a new character to me, Jane Popincourt, that I knew nothing about. It was an easy read and the writing seemed to flow for me. The book made me want to try to find some facts and more information about Jane which I think is an indication of a good historical read.

That does sound good! I had heard brief things about Jane Popincourt, but none of the details. And if the book spurs one on to find out more, then all the better. I have this one the TBR heap, but haven't gotten to it yet. Thanks for the heads up.
