That one ended up pretty meh for me as well. It had the potential for a rocking good story but the diary/newsstory format wasn't the best way to execute it IMHO.

What did you think of Shanghai Girls? I loved it, and found it very revealing, especially about the interment of the Chinese. That was a real eye-opener for me.

It was interesting to read about the internment of the Chinese during the war. Also interesting was the impact of the 1908 San Francisco earthquake which lead to a lot of illegal immigrants claiming US birth as the records were lost in the quake.
