This young man has us wrapped around his paws:

And watching over me in the veg garden; physical labour is clearly below his station:

He's now 8 years old and just recovering from 3 years of illness (from Lyme disease). A very calm (for a Springer), affectionate and easy to train dog. I barely ever have to put a lead on him (and then only for his safety) as he's so good.
