These are not my pets, but this video is irresistible, and this thread seemed like the best place to share it: Unlikely Friends

Absolutely astonishing! Thanks for posting, Margaret.

Interestingly, crows and others in the corvid family are noted for their intelligence - and sense of humour. Ravens have been seen on many occasions sliding down snowy children's slides - on their backs! Now there's no other reason to do that than to enjoy oneself.... :)

Thanks for the link, Margaret. Wonderful way to start the day. Many researchers are disputing the insult of "bird-brain." It turns out that birds in general are intelligent and certain species highly so. But a bird that feeds a kitten? I didn't see that coming!

Added later: This must be the day for odd animal friends. Ran across this video about an elephant and dog on a friend's FB wall:

Wow - I knew corvids were intelligent, but I never heard this one!

And the elephant-dog friendship made me all misty-eyed.

That's amazing!

We have both dogs and cats and some people find it amazing that they get on well with each other. I often find them snuggled up together.

That's a great video, it's lovely to see something like that. :)

Crows do this too - last winter the youngster belonging to our two local crows starting sliding down a neighbour's snowy roof. It also had a penchant for hanging upside-down from a particular TV aerial...
