The Mycenaean Princess
The Mycenaean Princess was just photographed at the Philadelphia Miniaturia doll show. She may appear in a future issue of Miniature Collector, but it's not certain yet. I was asked to do another doll, though. Have already started working on the Minoan Snake Priestess's costume. It's her hat that's going to kill me.
Will she be based on the faience Minoan Snake Goddess figurine found at Knossos who wears the hat with the cat?

Yes, she will, but she won't be holding her arms like that, or have the cat/owl/dove(?) on her hat. She will be holding snakes, though.

Very Myceneaen
Hi Laura, I think you done an excellent job on the Myceneaen doll and I look forward to seeing the Minoan snake priestess. I had a friend many years ago who made that costume, it looked stunning. The idea was as a period partner piece to my version of the Dendra panopy at a reading of the Illiad.

Hi Laura,
Very nice work! Since you are from Southern California perhaps you are aware of George Stuart's work creating historical figures. I have been to one of his presentations & it's amazing how detailed they are. He has a great web gallery. Just Google his name & it comes up if you're interested.

I have seen some of Stuart's work in person. Those dolls are quite a bit larger than the one I dressed.
