Write wit 2

Post by writerinthenorth » Fri April 20th, 2012, 12:01 pm

Those of you whose memories stretch back to a couple of Christmases ago (how many hangovers in between!) may remember my posting of quotations about writing under the heading Write wit. I have finally got around to a sequel, which I have now posted with the imaginative heading Write wit 2. Hope you enjoy these new ones.

Thanks Alisha, I do like a good quotation - published a book of them a few years ago, though not the literary ones.

"A good many young writers make the mistake of enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope big enough for the manuscript to come back in. This is too much of a temptation for the editor."
Ring Lardner

That made me laugh out loud. :D
