Old novel about Napoleon's son

Post by princess garnet » Wed September 30th, 2009, 8:07 pm

Found another interesting old novel while weeding our fiction collection.
The novel is Napoleon and His Son by Pierre Nezelof. It was originally published in France and translated into English by Warre Bradley Wells. (The copyright on our copy is 1937) From what I've seen, the story's focus is on Napoleon II/Franz Joseph Karl, Duke of Reichstadt. Our copy also has illustrated plates relating to Napoleon and his family.
A check with the Library of Congress (LC) online catalog shows Nezelof wrote novels about other French figures. I can't find the original French edition of this novel or LC get didn't one.
Still, this is an interesting find!
