The Angelique series
Hi Nickie, welcome aboard. I have finally collected all of them and have started a bit on the first one.

Just a quick update. I've read the first book (finally) and about 2/3 of the way through book two (Angelique and the King). These are fun, and definitely OTT but I will warn those who are very PC-minded that they might not suit every reader. I don't want to spoil or name names, but the husband at the end of book one into book #2 doesn't get off to the best of starts and some readers might not care for where that story goes. Just sayin'
I managed to get the entire series (and a few extra copies) via Swap, generous friends and a very lucky find at a UBS in my neck of the woods.
Attached the cover of the MMPB copy I picked up at the Tacoma Book Center for a whopping $5.

Ooh Misfit I thought the husband was so dark! I really liked his relationship with Angelique and how it developed in the second book, but I can see why some people wouldn't, after those scenes at the end of the first. For me, the first two Angeliques were the best, 'Angelique and the Sultan' becomes even more OTT. Great escapism though.

It's a great series, and worth the hunt. I do wish that the remaining books would get translated into English and become available...
Angelique and Sultan? If they can't even get the title right, I wonder what else is wrong. It's a print on demand book, isn't it?
Yes, that much I've been able to figure out is that it is POD. Found the book listed on other bookseller sites as well. What gets my goat is this,

Plus they say it is 36 pages. Something is very rotten in Denmark. I'd love to tip them off but not many ideas where to start. This is a reproduction of a book published before 1923. This book may have occasional imperfections such as missing or blurred pages, poor pictures, errant marks, etc. that were either part of the original artifact, or were introduced by the scanning process. We believe this work is culturally important, and despite the imperfections, have elected to bring it back into print as part of our continuing commitment to the preservation of printed works worldwide. We appreciate your understanding of the imperfections in the preservation process, and hope you enjoy this valuable book.
