What did you think of On Royalty and Behind Palace Doors? I've read the first one, and I am contemplating the second, and wonder if it would be worth the time to take in.
It was a fun read and not a very serious book. I was amused by a story when the book first came out...the author, who was the Queen Mother's equerry, describes a luncheon where all the participants fell asleep. For some reason, I thought that was quite amusing and wanted to read the book.
I rarely read books about the current British royals (I always tell participants on the royalty boards I help moderate that I prefer my royals long dead), but the book does give some interesting insight into how a royal household is run.
