Mythica, I plan to get a wall adaptor. The store where I bought my ereader said they usually have them, but were temporarily out. I called the Kobo helpline (they were open 24 hrs) and got everything straightened out. My ereader was fully charged but there wasn't any way I could tell. That's what happens with the initial charging. Now I'm going to look at the user manual online and use that to get familiar with the ereader controls. I should be on my way to using it, finally.

Thanks for the tip on the price drop watch list. Hope Kobo can use that.
