Divia, you're going to do great! I met with two editors at the Salt Lake City conference when I went, and I was very nervous at first. But they were both nice and attentive, and asked me lots of questions. Plus, we'll be there to give you moral support! Just think of it as a literary adventure. :D The whole atmosphere at the conference is one of support and excitement for the genre; you'll find yourself among your tribe.

Thanks CW :)

I'm looking forward to it. I hope that those on the MB can get together for a little bit too.

I'm game. I'll be there starting Friday afternoon and am not leaving until Sunday at 3:30 (flight at 6:30). I'll hang out until it's time to catch a shuttle and will be mingling as much as I can during the two days (except for speaking on, and attending, panels) so if we can organize a meet-up, great.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread, as the conference is coming up. How many of us are attending? Do we want to meet up somewhere, if only for drinks? It would be great to put faces to avatars :p

Im already freaking out about the flight. I hate flying...

I'm down with doing something like that. I'm not sure how much time we will have since this is my first and I dont know how this works.

BTW I dont know which agents I am meeting. Should I be concerned about that?

I'm game for meeting up at some point, assuming I'm not running around like a crazy person :D

There'll probably be some time on Saturday afternoon to meet. Or Friday before dinner.

Divia, Ann Chamberlin will be emailing people with their agent or editor meeting info starting on 5/22 - that's when signups for appointments close. So no need to be concerned :)

The lounge Friday before registration? I'll be arriving at the hotel about noon on Thursday.
