I must be the only person I know who actually enjoyed "Credo"! Most readers seem to find it rather tedious and hard going. The Irish noblewoman, Bega, is an interesting character, if not always a likeable one. She's stubborn and strong-minded, and her rather joyless determination to attain sanctity through martyrdom made me feel inclined to give her a swift kick on occasions.
