Guy Fawkes went to St Peter's School in York. They don't put a guy on top their bonfires - apparently they don't burn old boys!! :D
currently reading: My Books on Goodreads

I was going to start another thread for pictures but do I need to? On reflection I think people can post them here, if they are happy to.

How to post images:
diamondlil wrote:There are a number of different ways that you can include images in your posts.

One way is to click on the Insert Image icon when you are creating your post. That will bring up a hyperlink box where you paste in the URL of the image.

I tend to save the images I use in my own Photobucket account (or there are other similar programs out there as well like Imageshack), and then I post the IMG code to here. The reason for this is that you are then not leeching bandwidth from the other site.

So far example I paste the following strings (without the * that I have included so you can see the coding)

Image

When I post that without the *s, then all you will see is the picture:

Image

To summarise, if you type in Image your picture should show up.
Of course, this means your image has to have a URL - so it has to be uploaded somewhere else first, like your blog, Flickr, photobucket or another image sharing site.

They can also be posted in thumbnails if the image is stored on your PC. Scroll down to underneath the main message area and you'll see a manage attachments button. Click that and then browse to find your image and upload.

If I have an image on my pc and need a URL I have a my eyes only post on my live journal account (or one can do it with a blog, upload the image and then I can get the URL from that.

Just to clarify - we'll just post our newly arrived cards here, right? I just got one from Prague, thanks Kveto! (loved your kid's signatures on the card!)
