Would it be of any interest to have a thread/list or similar containing the names of the authors (and their books) that "hang out" here?
I reckon it would be a great opportunity to discover a new author and books.

Browse the "Author Announcements" section, Veronica, and I think you'll find something very similar to what you're looking for, though not necessarily in one thread. Of course, it might be nice to have a special section that would bring up a list of every forum member who has published one or more books - maybe this is something that could tie into the members list? It would probably take some time and ingenuity on the part of our intrepid and wonderful moderators to put a section like that together.
Browse over 5000 historical novel listings (probably well over 5000 by now, but I haven't re-counted lately) and over 700 reviews at www.HistoricalNovels.info

Maybe just having a section for forum authors to post their links (sort of like is done with the birthday list, where the first post is updated) might do the trick.

That's a great idea, Bos. I didn't know about the birthday list - simple and elegant!

I like the idea. I like to support the authors here. If I cant always do it financially I like to do it emotionally..hmmm. I think there is a better word out there but I cant think of one now.

True but I was looking for something easier, all in one place. Not only for me but perhaps for new people at the forum and even old members.
If a list is too time consuming a thread like the birthday one would be good. (As already mentioned in a reply.)
