It took me a while to find this, but under 'quick links' (to the right of 'search') the top option on the list is 'today's posts'. That helped a lot, since I sometimes get the chance to scan all the new post,s and sometimes not, and they won't come up next time if I've already opened the site and closed it again.

Otherwise, Ken, an individual member can be gone a week, and hit the 'new posts' button, and it will give them a personalized list of every post that they haven't yet seen, regardless if it is old stuff to anyone else.
Thanks guys - I didn't know all that stuff!

On still not finding my post in the 'new posts' today, I was about to write something in the new 'most annoying' thread!!

I really wanted Annis, Chatterbox, Ash and EC to see my post on Llywelyn and Joanna's children as they helped me with some very good links to follow.

They will see it Ken because it will come up for them when they hit the 'New Posts' button as for them it will be new as long as they haven't logged in. So the first time they log in and hit the 'new posts' button it will be there for them and every time somebody puts a new reply in it will come back under new posts. :)
