James Bond
Has anyone read these books before? I just started reading them. On 'Live and Let Die' now, which is the second book. I bought my regular Kindle from a friend a few months ago and as a bonus, received from her a copy of over 500 titles on a memory stick. The entire Bond series is there along with a wide variety of other titles.

- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Re: James Bond
Long ago I read quite a few of them. But the thing I remember about Ian Fleming is that he had to support a lot of kids (several adopted, IIRC) and although he wanted to write children's books, Bond paid the rent.
Do you know he also wrote the children's classic, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?
