ya fictopn migrant farm workers...what book is this?

Post by katiejb42 » Wed February 14th, 2018, 12:33 am

hi

I am trying to remember some books i read in elementary school as my niece is a great age for them. What I do recall is that is was told from the point of view of a young girl, she and her family were migrant workers in the dust bowl. Her mother would make them flour sack dresses. Also had a part where she described the cotton they would pick. I can't remember much more but it's driving my crazy i cant find it. If i remember more details i will add them. Thank you!!

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
