There didn't seem to be a thread for this yet.


This has been one of my favourite series since 6th grade. The Ape Who Guards the Balance and The Falcon at the Portal are two books I like most. And it's full of great characters (some of whom are cats).

I've read a couple and they're great, the Vicky Bliss books are fun too.

I don't know if you saw the "Crocodile on the Sandbank" thread, but I posted that, sadly, Elizabeth Peters passed away last week, at the grand age of 85. There's a lovely article about her 85th birthday party on her website.

I just started reading them this spring. I'm on The Ape now. Love them so much - can't believe it too me this long to discover Elizabeth Peters!
