Looking for title
Looking for title
Looking for the title of a medieval romance. To my recollection (which is very little)...the book begins with a betrothed noble maiden confiding in a friend and posing as a servant and either spying on or bathing a handsome stranger in a communal palace bathing room as her last or only hurrah before her marriage. I think she then goes on to serve him dinner in his private quarters somehow. He's dark and dangerous and I want to say Scottish. I don't remember much more, sorry. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Maybe Virginia Henley's Infamous, with the noble maiden in question being Joan of Acre?
