New to historical fiction
New to historical fiction
History has long been a significant interest of mine. I minored in it as an undergraduate, even after my advisor said it didn't fit with my physics major. I grew up reading hard science fiction novels, but loved watching history movies when I could. After trying my hand at writing science fiction I've been drawn to a story set in the past. I'm now fully immersed in writing a novel set in 17th century Netherlands. I bring my passion for scientifically accurate sci-fi novels to my writing this story. I want to be as true to the details of the time period as possible. Often my obsessive research brings me to ideas I would've never thought of on my own.
