New here from Southeast Indiana; currently my major interests are Vinland, Vikings, Saxons and the Crusades. I am looking forward to hearing the views and reviews of other members.

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Hi Frostline, and welcome! The viking are an interesting bunch! Two novels that come to mind that combine both Vikings and Crusades are Lawhead's Byzantium and Hawk Quest by Lyndon. They both made my top reads for the year I read them. And there was also The Thrall's Tale, about which I was more ambivalent.
