Hi everyone - thanks for accepting me...!
My name's Pete and I'm pretty eclectic in my reading tastes - I'm a bit of an escapist reader, so my tastes range from Bernard Cornwell, through Conn Iggulden, Ken Follett, CJ Sansom, George MacDonald Fraser, Patrick O'Brian and the like - but also alternative histories (especially Victorian gothic/steampunk-esque stuff - favourites include Drood by Dan Simmons)
I've also started dipping back into Conan Doyle, HG Wells and Jules Verne - not sure whether that qualifies for these boards, but as I say, I'm nothing if not eclectic in my tastes!
Anyway, looking forward to meeting you all!
Pete

Welcome to the forum, Peter! Looking at your list of favorites, you might also like Ben Kane's Roman novels.
