Hello from a newbie

Post by Ely » Fri November 25th, 2011, 10:34 pm

Hi

I'm Ely, and I found this forum by accident while looking at something else.

Mostly interested in medieval history, but who knows what else I might be tempted by! After looking at a few threads, I know that I will be buying more books.

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Welcome, Ely! We have lots of medieval fans here-- but that is a long span of time, starting anywhere from 400-600 AD and ending between 1300-1500 AD, depending on which definition you adhere to. Which centuries intrigue you most?
