Greetings from Mercia!

Post by Wulfric of Mercia » Mon April 26th, 2010, 5:06 pm

Ok, not really Mercia but since its the kingdom of my primary character its sort of stuck in my head. I live in California and routinely travel back and forth from my home outside Los Angeles to England.

My name is Christopher Spellman. I just completed my first novel, a historical fiction tale set in 10th century Britain. I'd liken it to a personally narrated Viking saga. Its the first book in a series I hope to complete over the next 5 years. I anticipate there will be at least 3-4 books but perhaps more.

I've been reading historical fiction since I was a teenager and finally decided I really needed to write my own story. I've been wanting to write a book since after high school (a long time ago!) but didn't think my skills were up to snuff. However, after lots of prodding by others and having devised a story I thought was rather compelling I decided to finally get it done. My book, 'The Raven & the Wolf: Blood Oath' was released about a week ago. Its on Amazon and Barnes & Noble and should be appearing in a few other online venues shortly. Its also available from the publisher directly.

Great to find this forum and looking forward to interacting with you folks.

Hi Wulfric. Your website is great, and whomever is reading your excerpts does it very well. I must find time to hear them all.
